Closing took place on July 17 of a transaction whereby EQUIFAX, through its local company EFX de Costa Rica S.A., acquired TELETEC S.A.’s 20 year old operation of credit reporting and related research services in Costa Rica. EQUIFAX is a global leader in information solutions for consumer and corporate customers. With this acquisition EQUIFAX increases its business operations in the Central American region. Roberto Leiva, a partner with Facio & Cañas, represented TELETEC in the transaction. EQUIFAX was represented by its Corporate Counsel, Tyler E. Giles, and Ana Sáenz of González Uribe.
