Lawyer and President of Facio & Cañas, Víctor Garita, successfully led an arbitration proceeding in Costa Rica’s territory on behalf of a real estate developer that was accused of breach of contract.

The team of legal counselors of Facio & Cañas successfully concluded its participation as regional representative of GE Capital in the transfer process of BAC Credomatic to the Colombian financial group Aval Acciones y Valores.

Tax payers shall maintain rigorous documentation of their accounting to justify their bank operations, in order to comply with the new regulations of the “Law for compliance with the fiscal transparency standard”, presently being discussed in the Tax Matters of the Legislative Assembly.  

Costa Rica’s legal community participated in the presentation of the book “Criminal Politics in the Social State of Law”, literary work in honor of Costa Rican diplomat Enrique Castillo. In the midst of applauses in a full auditorium, the jurist received recognition to his work on June 22th, at the Bar Association. 

Facio & Cañas joined the fight for protection of the planet and collaborated with a campaign of collection of technological residues as part of the celebration of the World’s Environment Day.
