Principals of education centers should guarantee the welfare of children and teenagers who attend the institution, and will be responsible of damages occurred if the minors suffer an accident during class hours. It was indicated by managing partner of Facio & Cañas, Ernesto Hütt to El Financiero weekly newspaper, in an interview carried out for its edition of March 1st, 2010.
The lawyer indicated that education centers should take the necessary measures to protect its students. “The institution or school, independently of whether it is private or public, offers an education service, in virtue of which it should increase safety measures because they are dealing with children and hire apt personnel to accomplish those supervision functions,” explained Hütt.
