Victor Garita and Andrés Morales, attorneys with Facio & Cañas, work in a formal alliance with representatives of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation.
The Chamber founded the Canary Islands Business School in order to contribute to the formation of leaders in business management and development. This school offers a master’s degree in Maritime Business and Port Administration and some of these courses will be imported and offered on a Central American level.
Garita, President of Facio & Cañas, explains that the project seeks to take advantage of the current alliance between the Chamber of Commerce and the law firm in order to bring a group of professionals to give a series of master’s level courses in Costa Rica.
The head of the law firm stated that they are seeking an academic institution to contribute with its infrastructure and experience to help coordinate training on maritime transport and port development on a regional scale.
This initiative is currently under discussion, but the project to offer Central American business persons and professionals a unique opportunity to improve their knowledge in port related matters and bolster business development in the isthmus is currently being completed.
